Local Government Week Aotearoa

Five ways to connect

The five pillars

Local Government Week Aotearoa is built around five pillars that take a community on a journey through local government.

Together, they are a simple framework for showcasing a kaunihera and creating opportunities to connect with the mahi it does. You do not need to do everything. Pick the pillars that work, mix and match ideas, or create something new.

Most activities will connect with more than one pillar. Each pillar below links to the others.
